"This Little Light" was one of my junior year films. It's an animated film dedicated to my late father, and the journey in how loss can still affect someone even years later. The character is overworked, and tries to catch a firefly out of frustration and anger after having a nightmare. When she catches it, she transports into a memory of her catching fireflies with her dad, then letting them go. I wanted to really pay attention to lighting and color, and have that drive the narrative of the film. Included is a screencap of the film as well as color studies I did early on in the pre-production stage.
